On the pretext of Rahul Gandhi's statement on Kashmir is being used by Pak in UN, pseudo nationalist are trying to gag the voice of dissent on issue of kashmir. Instead of trying to prove every dissenting voice anti national, they should let the government clear the air by answering the queries and concerns of opposition leaders about people of our own country. How come asking about the well-being of our own countrymen is anti national. Article 370 has declared inoperational in kashmir so that it can be amalgamated and assimilated with the entire country. Leaders of ruling party and government have also said that making  article 370 inoperational will give kashmiri people all the rights and benefits at par with rest of India. Are opposition leaders contradicting government's stand? No, in fact they are proving that we are as much concerned about Kashmir as much we would have been for any other state of India in such circumstances.

As far as Pakistan's action of going to UN and citing Rahul Gandhi's statement is concerned, it went to UN, US and all other possible forums right after the abrogation of article 370. Who should be blamed for that international attention and hue and cry made by that failed and rogue nation. It got to have an informal meeting of Security Council. The security council considered the volatile situation in Kashmir, addressed the issue in a meeting solely on the dispute within the UN body for the first time since 1965.

Not only this but also UN commission on human rights has called for setting up a Commission of Inquiry (CoI) to conduct an international investigation into the allegations of human rights violations in the valley. It has also released a 49 page report on alleged excess by army and security forces. If government of India is not responsible for this undue international attention on Kashmir issue, then why Rahul Gandhi or any other person who is just asking about the well being of our own people in our own territory are being blamed for acting against the national interest. Pakistan has also mentioned statements of Haryana CM, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar and BJP MLA Vikram Saini about Kashmiri women. Even during election campaign in India, Pakistan would cite statements of BJP leaders as secularism in India was in grave danger, as it was going to persecute it's minorities. Pakistan has this habit since beginning of it's very existence. It always plays victim. It hides it's own failure in India bashing.

There is no logic in the argument that Pak has cited Rahul Gandhi's statement in UN to prove it's point, so he should not have asked about the situation of one of the states of India.  It's opposition's duty to ask questions from Government even if it is not a comfortable one. It is government's duty to listen to opposition and respond positively. In fact any question or criticism should be taken as an opportunity for the government to clear it's position on any issue. We can not stop asking questions because someone else can use it to further their own agenda.
